A very courageous young man - along with seven other wonderful youth - were presented with medals for their daring races to battle their conditions and diseases today from the North Dakota Chapter of Medals4Mettle.

今日は、7人の勇気に満ちた少年たちにメダルを送りました。
それぞれが、それぞれの状況や病気と闘っています。

アンディさん Andi

日本のメダルを送っている　M４Mノースダコタ　のブログから。

最近、アンディさんにメダルを送りました。
アンディさんは、強い心と信仰に満ちた方です。
９月に脳腫瘍（ステージ４）だと診断を受け、毎日闘病生活を続け、
日々の一瞬一瞬を大切に過ごしています。
このメダルをアンディさんに捧げます。

Congratulations to our latest M4M recipient, Andi Olsonawski; she is such a woman of strength, dignity and faith. Diagnosed with a grade 4 brain tumor in September, she continues in the battle for each day, each moment of her life. Our prayers are with you, Andi.

Mariah マライヤさん

私たちがメダルを送り続けているアメリカのノースダコタ支部のブログより。

ノースダコタのスタンフォード病院での
M４Mのメダルを受け取ってるたくさんの皆さんに、
今日もおめでとう、と伝えましょうね。
メダルを受け取ってくれる患者さん、そしてご家族の皆さんの様子に
今日も心を動かされています。元気をもらいました。

受け取ってくださった患者さんの一人のマライアさんと
お母様（左）とお祖母様（右）は
最近、テキサスのダラスから引っ越していらしたとのこと。
ものすごく喜んでくださいました！！

メダルを寄付してくださっている皆さん、そして、スタンフォード病院の皆さん。
こうやっていつまでも心に残るであろう思い出を
作ってくださってありがとうございます。

Congratulations to the many Medals4Mettle recipients at Sanford Hospital yesterday. It was an emotional and motivational experience for our recipients and their families - a much needed boost.

One of our recipients, Mariah, along with her mother (left) and grandmother (right) - recently relocated from Dallas - were joyously overwhelmed.

Thank you to our medal donors and to Sanford Hospital for making these moments forever memorable.

Miracle on Main All Abilities Relay（メインでのミラクル。すべての人のリレー）

日本の私たちが送っているノースダコタ支部のブログより。

先日は素晴らしい日でした！
「Miracle on Main All Abilities Relay（メインでのミラクル。すべての人のリレー）」というイベントで、
２０人の若者がM４Mのメダルを受け取りました。

これは、ノースダコタ州の首都のファーゴでのイベントです。
リレーの最終ランナーは１９歳のジャスティンくんです。
ジャスティンくんは、人生の殆どを車椅子で過ごしているのですけど、
今回、このイベントで歩いて参加するのを目標に歩行器の練習をしてきたのです。
自閉症、脳性マヒ、などなどで足止めなんてくらってませんぞ！
みんなおめでとう！ここのYoutube でイベントの様子が見られます。
私たち、日本人ランナーの送ったメダルの中から、
2014年のボストンマラソンのメダルが選ばれて、
ジャスティンくんに送られています。

日本人の皆さん、
いつもたくさんのメダルをノースダコタに送ってくださってありがとう！
子供達はみんなすごーく喜んでいます！

What a phenomenal day yesterday was! 20 young souls were recipients of M4M medals at the Miracle on Main All Abilities Relay in downtown Fargo, ND. And leading them to the finish line of the relay was 19-year-old Justin Meyer; Justin has spent most of his life in a wheelchair but he trained at TNT Fitness with his walker so he could walk as part of the relay. Special thanks to M4M Coordinator Yoshiko Jo - many of the medals awarded (including the 2014 Boston Marathon medal to Justin - see the interview around 5:00 of the video) were from her donation to North Dakota! The children were ECSTATIC!

ジャスティンへのメダル Medal to Justin

今朝は２０個のメダルが送られました。
詳細は次のブログで。新聞にも取り上げてもらいました。
この少年、歩くということが挑戦で、
そのゴールとして、M４Mのみなさんのメダルの一つが渡されたのでした。

シグネちゃんへのメダル Medal to Signe

NY在住の日本人のYさんのボストンマラソンのメダルがシグネちゃんというこの少女に渡されました。Yさんご自身も、癌の闘病中のことで、癌だとわかる前に、このメダルをM４Mに寄付してくれていました。Yさんはメダルを寄付した時にはあまりわからなかったのですが、今回ご自身の闘病経験を通じ、誰かがメダルをくれることの意味を深く知ったということです。

Our friend Yuko donated her Boston medal to M4M a while ago. At that time, she didn't know she had to go through cancer treatment. She decided to donate because it's cool thing to do.  Now,  she learned that the power of medal.
