寄付者からのメール

１年前になります。古いメールのご紹介となり、失礼します。こんなメールがM４Mに送られて来ました。

（１）オレゴン州のグレータさん。

これまでたくさんの毎年メダルを寄付して来ました。ここに寄付するだけのためが完走メダルをもらう理由となります。私は、よくトライアスロンに出ており、たいてい自分の部門のトップグループにいます。今年は、４つの素敵なメダルがあるんですけど、送ってもいいですか。どうやって送ったらいいかお知らせ下さい。

I've donated to you guys every year now, and it is the only reason I actually like getting medals.  I am an active triathlete, and I usually place somewhere up in my division... and this year I have 4 nice medals from the year to send.  Ok to send?  Please remind me of instructions.

 （２）どなたか公開されてないんだけど、ある人。

ここ１０年ぐらい、たくさんのマラソンやハーフマラソンに出て来て、いくつかのメダルだけは自分で持っています。自分は、メダルの多くを甥っ子にあげていたのですけど、この子はもう５歳になってしまって、こういう完走メダルをあまりありがたがらなくなってしまいました。それで、できたら、何か価値がある所に寄付することができたらなって思っています。ところで、最近、マラソンでオリンピック選考会（注意…このメールは２０１２年の１月のもの）に出走できることが分かりました。来週、ヒューストンでの選考会に行きます。そんなわけで、自分のメダルの多くは、優勝者としてもらったメダルになります！

I've ran a ton of marathons and half marathons in the past 10 years and kept quite a few medals. I've been giving many to my nephew as he was growing up, but he's 5 now and doesn't think they are quite so cool anymore. I'd love to be able to donate them to a worthy cause. I also recently qualified for the Olympic trials in the marathon and will be heading to Houston next weekend to compete, so many of these medals are from first place finishes!!
